Buying a car - lesson learnt

when picking up a car, the salesman will first get the paper work done and then show you the car, which also means that you pay him first and then you see the car.

Always, first look at the car and then sign the papers, that way, you have the leverage of telling him, no, this is not what we agreed to, or it does not meet my expectations and that you need to fix it before we go ahead.
